About
Northwest Alabama Baptist Institute will begin it’s twenty eighth year of operation in the fall of 2024. NABI has left a very distinctive mark Alabama, North Mississippi and Southern Tennessee area during her distinguished history.
NABI began in 1996 as a ministry of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Tuscumbia, AL under the direction of Dr. Andy E. Lee and Dr. David Gregg. In 2001, the school was moved to Avalon Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Dr. Johnny Johnston, Dr. Andy E. Lee and Brother Grady Parrish. In the fall of 2012, the school once again moved and came under the authority of Heritage Missionary Baptist Church. Dr. Allen Barton serves as her president and Brother Scott Webber as Vice President and Dean of Students. The privilege that we have to teach Christian workers and local pastors the Truth and to prepare them for a life of service to the Lord is very exciting, and a responsibility we at NABI do not take lightly.
